Outpatient Surgery Medical Coder

We are seeking experienced outpatient medical coders to work on an as-needed basis. You will work with one or more clients whenever they have coding needs. You will be a paid on an hourly basis ($48/hr), as inpatient records can vary widely in time it takes to code (but we don't have to tell you that).

Requirements:

• AHIMA Cert: CCS, RHIT, or RHIA
• Pass an interview and skills based test
• 2 years acute care hospital experience doing outpatient surgery coding
• High speed internet connection
• Computer setup for WFH
• Secure place in your home to work

Because you will be working on-call basis, you will have to regularly check to see if there is work that needs to be done. If you do not perform any work in a month we will review if your schedule is sufficient to meet the needs of our clients. Training for each client will be done separately, and regular QA auditing will be done to ensure quality of work. Prior to being paid hours and work quality will need to be approved.
