Trauma Registrar - Onsite - Sacramento, CA


The Client is willing to bring in non-local candidates for this role and pay for the initial flight for the job and the return flight home, pay for the hotel, car rental and a per diem. There is no reimbursement for flights home between the start and end of the assignment. 

Quick look of what we’re looking for:

  • Trauma Registry 2. Supports the training of the new Trauma Registrars.
  • Has the skills and experience in training novice trauma registrars.
  • Must be competent to independently manage the entire trauma registry process, data entry, and reporting.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 7 years Administrative Support OR 3 years functional analytical experience required. 

  • Participate in the In-House daily operations for the trauma registry.
  • Maintain the Trauma Log
  • Support the Trauma team and the Trauma Program Improvement Program Team. 
  • Participate in monitoring and compliance with trauma services standards of patient care.
  • Audits Trauma Registry on a monthly basis for data validation and completeness 
  • Report performance improvement and complication issues to Trauma Program Manager/Trauma Medical Director.
  • Assist with the research of performance improvement issues identified as appropriate 
  • Maintains and enhance current trauma knowledge through attendance at appropriate trauma conferences/meetings and participation in local and national level trauma registry projects to include trauma registry, ICD10 coding, AIS severity coding, and trauma performance improvement courses 

Education: HS Diploma or Equivalent REQUIRED. Bachelor degree preferred. 

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  Must have CAISS or CSTR certified specialty in trauma registry. 

  • Either certification will meet the requirements for the role. Candidates MUST have Trauma 1; EPIC experience is required.
